On Thursday May 28, 2015, Pete Tanner and Brian Lewonis represented the Rhody Rovers MC and presented three well deserving high school students from Coventry High School with a $400 scholarship each.
Thank you to all that worked so hard to put on this event and to Twisted Throttle for being such gracious hosts.
The FIM Trial World Championship is coming to RI this summer:
We will be using a Brand X and Start and Known Control format. This format should encourage riders of all time keeping ability to come out and compete in this event. The Rhody Rovers has eliminated the long road ride out to the Rocky/Western part of the state, so this event will be very enjoyable for all riders. Since there are no “Secret” checks the club has decided to release the Route Sheet which also includes things like; speed changes, resets, gas avail, official gas and overall mileages. We used an “online” Roll Chart Creator to produce the Route Sheet and that program offers a “Rider’s Link” option that I have posted here:
This link may also prove helpful; all of our watches are set to world clock as seen here:
The Rhody Rovers participated in the Annual Earth Day Clean Up in Big River Management Area sponsored by the West Greenwich Conservation Commission. This is a collaborative effort including the RI chapter of the New England Mountain Bike Association, Rhody Rovers, the North East Association of 4WD Clubs, local citizens, and neighbors.
Thank you to Peter Gengler of RI NEMBA for the following video of the event.
